Navy and Watermelon

4 Oct

Pink has so many possibilities.  It’s feminine, easy to spot in nature, brings out the blush in every cheek.  I especially love this preppy pop of watermelon pink with navy.  The navy keeps the pink from being too over the top girly and the pink makes the navy seem less serious and dramatic. It’s a dash of Lily Pulitzer, a twist of Southern belle and a whole heap of just plain pretty.

I love the navy as an alternative to black. It’s not quite so in your face, and is such a lovely compliment to the watermelon.

Agreed! The navy seems fresh and new. Plus, I think it’s a little easier to wear than black. Glad you liked the board!

These are the colors of my wedding! Is there anyway you could tell me the brand of those amazing pink heels? I can’t tell from the picture

I wish I could! They are sooooo adorable. We found the image on Pinterest. I will do some digging to see if I can find the source.

Best wishes for a beautiful day and a lifetime of happiness. The planning is such fun! When is your wedding date?

Thank you so much! Our wedding is March 3rd, 2012. Thought the shoes would be perfect for my bridesmaids or even me :)

I haven’t been able to track down those shoes. The insoles look like they say “Michael” vertically, but it doesn’t look like a Michael Kors or Michael Antonio brand logo. Mystery…

I checked like.com’s women shoes board–OH WOW–such an easy way to browse a lot at once. I found a couple of styles/colors that could work, but the closest was this style by Pour La Victoria–color is sometimes hard to gauge online, but these were really close: http://www.6pm.com/product/7662600/color/12664?channel=78&mr:referralID=014fcbdd-ef65-11e0-891e-001b2166c2c0

Another with a lower heel at a really great price point was this one from RSVP: http://www.6pm.com/rsvp-angela-fuchsia-satin?zlfid=a9

Congratulations! I wish you all the best for the start of your life together..and everything after!

Isn’t it great? I love that dress!

Unfortunately, I don’t have a source for it. I found a few similar, but none with the great combination of the halter and the rosettes. I’ll keep looking and will send you an email as well as posting here if I come up with it!

Here are a couple of possibilities…

Watters had a halter with that shape, but with ruffles instead of rosettes–the fabric was a little more formal, too. http://www.watters.com/Product/WtooDresses/WeddingType:Modern/165/#Colors:navy

J Crew’s Mirabelle or Blakely would also be lovely and have a similar feel. http://www.jcrew.com/wedding/Wedding_Bridesmaid.jsp
