Inspiration: Paperwhites Dahlia Wedding Invitation

Can you feel spring coming?  I know it’s a bit early to say that, but I’m feeling it today.  I’m thinking of June weddings, dreaming of sunshine fading into evening, receptions that last all night.  I have been playing around with Pinterest and everything I am finding seems to be built on fields of flowers, the great outdoors and sunshine.

With all our pretty new pictures, I’ve been aching to do some wedding boards using our own invitations.  Going hand in hand with my fascination with warm weather today, I am IN LOVE with this dahlia wedding invite. It’s such a cool flower with an unusual shape and a rainbow of colors.  For this board, I stuck with mostly pale pinks and whites, choosing a bridesmaid dress with the same spirit and soft ruffles as the flowers.  I’m also swooning over the great detail on the wedding dress. Sweet and feminine, but the striking dahlia saves it from being too overtly girlish.
